Chris Gooch

Chris has experience in all phases of structural & façade building work including educational, residential, commercial, industrial, retail facilities and public buildings.
Starting his career in 2000, Chris has worked in both Australia and the UK before starting Forth Consulting as a founding Director in 2015. He has led multi-discipline design teams on numerous high-profile, international scale projects in London, Melbourne & Sydney and works closely with the architect, builder, and client to achieve successful project completion.
Chris has a passion for public architectural projects and working with existing heritage buildings.
Mark Draper

Mark started his career as an engineer in 2000 in Adelaide before returning to Perth in 2003 and has worked on a variety of projects holding high level positions and leading teams of up to 30 people.
Mark’s desire to remain hands on and involved in the design process from concept to construction saw him join Forth in 2015. He brings his large company experience, attention to detail, and building knowledge to all projects and enjoys finding project solutions with conceptual hand drawn sketches.
Michael Vassiliou

Michael began his career in the early 1990’s, switching between Perth, Sydney and back to Perth again. Working with both small and large engineering practices, he has accumulated wide and varied experience in large infrastructure projects at all levels - as well as leading teams and managing projects in the buildings commercial, resources and infrastructure sectors.
Michael works closely with clients to achieve their aims by building the right team for the job that ensures successful delivery.
He joined Forth in 2016 as a Director and brings his breadth of experience in both technical and management skills, to ensure that Forth deliver the utmost consultancy service to our clients.

Chris started his career in Glasgow in 2003 working for a global engineering company before seconding to Perth in 2006 and working on some of the largest structural projects within WA at that time.
Integral to Forth since its inception in 2015, Chris has engaged in a variety of roles on projects from Structural Engineer, Project Manager and Project Leader and became a Forth Director in 2021.
Chris has experience in an array of project sectors and sizes - made up of large format retail, industrial, government, health, NPI, retail, community buildings and residential projects to name a few. He also continues to be fully involved in the bid phase, project manager, design and documentation roles at Forth.

Ahron has been with Forth since its inception in 2015. Coming from a large international multi-discipline firm, he brings a large breadth of Mechanical design knowledge across large and small projects, locally and nationally.
Ahron has diverse experience across mixed use residential/commercial, high rise commercial, retail, health care and education - Involving all phases of building work, including concept development, detailed design, tender and contract documentation, through to project completion.
He enjoys being engaged at all stages, across various disciplines - often leading our multi-disciplinary projects to ensure consistent delivery of coordinated design and detailing solutions.
Michael Twartz

Michael commenced as a Graduate Engineer in 1995 and has worked in Adelaide, Darwin, Auckland, Abu Dhabi and finally Perth since 2003.
He has experience in a wide range of project sectors and sizes including airport, commercial, data centre, defence, government, healthcare, NPI, retail, residential and transport projects.
With such a broad skill set and knowledge, Michael wears many hats - guiding our projects as Electrical Engineer, Project Manager and Project Leader, along with being our job manager on design and documentation roles at Forth too.
Ben Oakes

Since moving to WA in 2011, Ben has become one of Perth’s leading Façade Consultants. His complex understanding of façade principles offers unparalleled service in the design and coordination of standard and custom façade solutions that meet the ESD, thermal, acoustic, structural and weatherproofing requirements of building façades.
Going beyond the structural requirements, Ben also uses specialist access methods for façade and asset condition inspections across a range of projects - from apartments to shopping centres and high-rise commercial towers.
This knowledge of real-world façade performance enables us to develop durable, reliable and coordinated designs on all Forth new-build projects.
Michael Guhl

Michael commenced his career in 2002 as a Structural Engineering Graduate from UWA. Completing a Structural Graduate program, he was transferred into the Civil department and exposed to design and documentation of drainage, earthworks, roads and project management.
Michael obtained Chartered Professional Engineering status in 2008 and became Registered on the National Engineering Register in both the Structural and Civil disciplines, which he has maintained throughout his career since.
His passion for engineering, attention to detail, and ability to resolve complicated engineering problems add significant value to all his projects and ensure successful collaborative outcomes for his clients.
Dennis Preston

Dennis’ career started in 1998, building his skills as a Hydraulic Design Draftsperson at a major Perth engineering consultancy before working in the UK as a Public Health Hydraulic Engineer until 2009.
Upon return, he led a number of high-profile hydraulic engineering departments, primarily in the transport, resource, defence and infrastructure fields - Including the Forrestfield Airport Link rail project where he was responsible for leading the Building Services team of 25.
Completing a Masters in Project Management and joining Forth as our Hydraulics team leader in 2021, Dennis’ diverse experience strengthens our building services dept to ensure dynamic team coordination and timely delivery of projects tailored to clients.
Gary Murdoch

Gary is a driven HVAC design professional with over 15 years’ experience in both mechanical services consulting and construction and has been an important member of the Forth Consulting team since its inception in 2015.
Specializing in the design, documentation and construction administration of heating, ventilation, and air conditioning, from bid phase all the way through to project completion, he places a strong emphasis on practical, cost-effective engineering solutions, whilst bringing a customer focused approach to his role.
Gary has extensive project experience across a broad range of mechanical design and construction installations including commercial/office, police/justice, retail, sports, hospitality, mining, education and multi-residential.
Sam Criddle

Sam started his career in Perth in 2012, and has extensive experience in the structural design, project management, construction phase and delivery of major projects across a broad range of market sectors including health, commercial, education, stadia, rail and aviation.
He has held key design and management positions in many iconic and complex projects across Australia, Asia, and the UK, having spent 5 years working at global consultancies in London and Melbourne. With proven experience in all phases of building works from concept design through to practical completion, Sam combines a strong technical ability with a project/client focused approach which results in smart, innovative structural solutions that ensure smooth, successful projects.
